PCR reactions were carried out in 3 × 15 μl volume, which were then pooled together. The thermo cycling conditions employed were as follows: 95°C for 3 min, followed by 30 cycles comprising 95°C for 30 s, 54°C for 30 s and 72°C for 2 min. A final extension of 72°C for 5 min was applied.
